Monali Gupta

Researchers have developed an elastic stopwatch similar to a tattoo. The specialty of this stopwatch is that it can operate on low voltage and safely spread on human skin. It looks like a smart watch on the body.

According to researchers it is safer for human body. With this, wide applications can be given in the field of soft robotics and human machine interfaces.

Other researchers, including Yunelli Zhou and Jiachen Wang of Nanjing University in China, have developed light-emitting devices. This is called Alternating current electroluminescent (ACEL) that can stick to the skin or other surfaces like a temporary tattoo.

The study stated that ACEL shows the need for high voltage to achieve adequate brightness of the display keeping safety concerns in mind. According to current research an ACEL display system has been developed that is capable of operating at low voltage.

Advantages of technology-

– May stick on the skin or other surfaces like temporary tattoos.

– is also capable of operating at low voltages.
