Jammu and Kashmir: CRPF Soldier Died of Coronavirus in Srinagar

A CRPF Soldier infected with the Corona virus died on Sunday in Srinagar and this is the death of the first security personnel due to Corona virus in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, no security personnel had died due to corona infection in the Union Territory.

Let us tell you that on Sunday, the maximum numbers of new cases of corona virus were reported in Jammu and Kashmir. Corona infection screening report of 620 people came positive here and with this, the number of Covid-19 patients in this union territory has crossed 4,000 figure.

In a statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department, it was stated that out of 620 new cases, 37 are from Jammu division and 583 are from Kashmir division. With this the total number of virus-infected individuals increased to 4,087, whereas by Sunday evening, 41 people died of Corona infection while 1,216 patients were cured in the state. The number of active corona cases in the state now stands at 2,830 and of this, 684 cases are from Jammu division and 2,146 from Kashmir division.
