Goa Government: People who will Not Wear Masks won’t get Groceries and Fuel

The Goa government, which is fighting a battle with Corona, has taken a major decision. Now people not wearing masks in the state will not be given fuel at petrol pumps. The decision was taken during a meeting of the State Executive Committee (SEC) chaired by Chief Secretary Parimal Rai on Thursday.

The SEC decided that the use of a mask or face cover needs to be strictly enforced in view of the coronovirus epidemic. A statement said that no petrol pump will provide fuel to any vehicle whose driver won't be wearing mask, nor will any ration or other grocery items be given from the fair price shops.

Meanwhile, Goa has been declared a green zone. Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said that with the efforts of our corona warriors and the support of the people of Goa, our state has now been classified as a green zone by the Government of India. There were 7 cases of corona in Goa. All seven have been cured. There is no active case here yet.

At the same time, the number of corona infected patients has increased to 35 thousand 43 in the country. In the last 24 hours, 1823 new cases have been reported across the country, while a total of 1147 people have died due to this deadly virus infection. Of these, 67 people have died in the last 24 hours. So far 8889 people have been cured. The active cases have become 25 thousand 7.
