Delhi Reports 487 COVID-19 Cases, Positivity Rate Remain Below 1 Percent

In Delhi, 487 fresh cases of coronavirus infection were reported in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate in the city remained below 1 percent for the fourth consecutive day. In addition, 1058 patients have recovered, while 45 people died in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number tally has now increased to 14.27 lakh. Out of these, 13.94 lakh people have been cured and 24,402 have died. Currently, there are 8,748 patients, who are undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, the positivity rate has also dipped to 0.61 percent.

At the same time, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said a total of 1,044 black fungus cases in Delhi, while 92 people have recovered and 89 deaths so far. According to officials, Delhi Police will deploy at least four well-equipped Quick Reaction Teams in the South West district for facilitating medical assistance and oxygen support to Covid patients.

India: More than 1.32 cases reported

India has been witnessing a gradual decrease in daily coronavirus cases. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 1,34,154 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count of the cases to 2,84,41,986. With 2,887 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 3,37,989.

The country also witnessed 2,11,499 recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative recoveries to 2,63,90,584. With this, the country's recovery rate has increased to 92.79%. On the other hand, India's mortality rate stands at 1.19%. There has been a steady decline in active cases of coronavirus in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, the active cases in the country have been reduced by 80,232.
