79 New Cases of Corona Infected reported in Odisha, Total Infected reaches 1517 Figure

Odisha is witnessing a boom in corona virus cases where once corona was seen under control here. According to reports, there have been 79 new cases of corona virus infected reported in the province, with these new cases, the total number of people affected by the virus in the state has increased to 1,517. A Health Department official said on Tuesday that out of the total new cases, 71 cases are from different quarantine centers.

According to reports, the maximum number of 16 new cases has been reported in Cuttack district, whereas it was followed by 14 cases in Bolangir, 8 in Keonjhar, 7 in Kandhamal, 6 in Kendrapada, 5 in Ganjam, 4-4 in Balasore, Khurda and Puri, 3-3 in Nayagarh and Dhenkanal, whereas 2 cases were reported in Jajpur and one each in Angul, Jharsuguda and Sonepur districts. It should be noted that 29 out of 30 districts of the state have reported infected cases. Out of a total of 1,517 infected people in the state, 649 people have recovered after treatment, while 861 people are undergoing treatment and 7 people have died of the disease.

The Health Department official said that 3,819 samples were tested on Monday and a total of 1,31,595 samples have been tested so far. The state had the highest number of 103 new infected cases reported on Monday and Ganjam district has the highest number of 358 infected , followed by 242 in Jajpur, 137 in Balasore, 106 in Bhadrak, 86 in Khurda, 85 in Puri, 75 in Cuttack and 61 in Kendrapara.
