Omicron also Reached Delhi, the Person from Tanzania came Omicron Positive

The first Omicron case has come to light in Delhi. According to Health Minister Satyendar Jain, all those who are coming from other countries are being tested. 17 people from outside have been found positive, apart from this, 6 people of their family have also been found positively infected.

There is a total of 23 people who are being tested again. After genome sequencing, there have been reports of 12 people, of which one person has been found to be Omicron positive in the initial report. This person has come from Tanzania. Although at present, this is only a possible case, its final report will come tomorrow. In the initial report, it has been found infected with Omicron.

Flights should be stopped

Satyendar Jain said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has repeatedly demanded from the central government that wherever the Omicron variant is spread, flights should be stopped from there. The central government should take a decision on this soon. This decision can prove to be helpful in preventing the Omicron variant from spreading in the country.

The health minister said that this is a new variant of Corona, it is being treated like the old variant. While appealing to the people, Satyendra Jain has said that those who come out of the house should wear masks. Those who have not taken the vaccine should get the vaccine soon.

A total of 5 cases of this variant have been registered in the country

On Saturday, two new cases of Omicron of coronavirus infection were found in the country. In which a 72-year-old man from Gujarat and a 33-year-old man from Maharashtra were confirmed to be infected with Omicron.

So far, a total of 5 cases of this variant have been registered in the country. Earlier, two persons in Karnataka were found positive with this variant of the virus.

Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry on Saturday wrote to Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha, and Mizoram asking them to adopt a strict policy to control the spread of Covid-19. This step has been taken in view of increasing cases of infection, weekly infection rate, and weekly death in some districts.
