Coronavirus: What is XE Variant?

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the XE variant is made up of two variants BA.1 and BA.2 of the corona and it is 10 times more contagious than BA.2. However, on its seriousness, WHO has just said that it is necessary to do more study in this matter. At present, the highest number of cases of BA.2 variants are being reported in the world. In other countries of the world including China, Britain, Germany, America, the reason for the new wave of Covid is being told to the BA.2 variant.

BA.2 is also being called the 'stealth variant'

BA.2 is also being called the 'stealth variant'

It is not only more contagious than BA.1 and BA.3. Rather it is not easy to find out about it. That's why the BA.2 is also being called the 'stealth variant'. According to the WHO, at present, it is responsible for 86 percent of cases of infection all over the world. In such a situation, it has been revealed in the initial investigation that the XE variant is 10 times more infectious than BA.2. So far three hybrid strains of corona have been identified which are XD, XF and XE variants.

What are the symptoms of XE variant?

Symptoms of new variant

Currently, the study is going on this variant. In such a situation, initial symptoms like fever, sore throat, cough, mucus and cold, stomach problems can be seen. Apart from this, the new variant can be more dangerous in people suffering from already serious diseases. Since it is a mutation of Omicron itself, there is every possibility that the vaccine will have an effect on the new variant. Because due to the large number of vaccinations in India during the third wave, the effect of Omicron was not like that of the second wave.
