Wipro Reduced The Salary Of Freshers By 50%, Annual Package Reduced From 6.5 Lakh To 3.5 Lakh

IT company Wipro has cut the salary of freshers by up to 50%. Candidates who were recently offered an annual salary of Rs 6.5 Lakhs by Wipro have now reduced it to Rs 3.5 Lakhs. This deduction has been made in the salary of those freshers who passed the company's Velocity Graduate Program in 2023. These freshers are waiting for appointment.

After earlier promising higher salary, now the company has sent an email to the selected candidates. In this freshers have been asked to settle for lower salary due to economic reasons.

Employee Union Protesting

On the other hand, the IT employees' union NITES termed the move as 'unjust'. He has asked the IT company to reconsider its decision.

Earlier, Wipro Fired 800 Freshers

Earlier last month, there was news that Wipro had fired 800 freshers who failed in the internal test. However, the company says that it has terminated 452 employees.

Infosys Fired 600 Employees

Recently, there was news that Infosys has fired 600 employees after failing in the internal test. According to reports, he has been fired after failing in the last FA test. However, till now no statement has come from the company regarding this.
