Uber Green To Run In Delhi-Mumbai And Bengaluru From Next Month, Company To Launch Global EV Project

Uber will launch its global EV project 'Uber Green' in India next month. The company announced on Wednesday (May 24) that it will start electric vehicle service from June, after which passengers will be able to choose the option of electric vehicle while booking a ride.

The company told that now this service will start in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. After this the company will extend its electric vehicle service to other cities.

The company will add 25,000 EV cars to the platform

The company has announced that it will add 25,000 EV cars to its platform by 2025 and 10,000 electric two-wheelers by 2024.

For EV cars, the company has partnered with Lithium Urban Technology, Everest Fleet Pvt Ltd and Move. At the same time, Uber has partnered with Zip Electric for electric two-wheelers.

Uber joins hands with SIDBI for EV financing

Uber has announced a partnership with SIDBI for EV financing. Along with this, the company has joined hands with Jio-BP and GMR Green Energy for EV charging infrastructure.

Company bringing on-demand EV experience to India

Uber tweeted, 'Introducing Uber Green - an all-electric, zero tailpipe emissions vehicle bringing the on-demand EV experience to India with just a few taps!'
