PM Modi to Visit Bhutan for Two-Day, will Launch RuPay Card

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go on a two-day visit to Bhutan. Their tour will be from August 17-18. On this two-day visit, the matter of strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries will be given more priority. Also, Prime Minister Modi will launch RuPay Card there. The Prime Minister's visit to Bhutan is taking place at the invitation of Prime Minister Lotay Tshering.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go on a two-day visit to Bhutan, a 'trusted friend and neighbor' of India, from August 17, in which priority will be given to strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries. In his second term, Modi is going to visit Bhutan very soon, in which the emphasis is on 'Neighborhood First Policy'. During his first term as Prime Minister, Modi started foreign visits from Bhutan.

During this visit, Modi is expected to meet with King of Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and former King of Bhutan Jigme Singe Wangchuk and interact with Tshering, a Foreign Ministry statement said.

This statement also said that the visit is in keeping with the tradition of high-level exchanges between the two countries and at the same time it will discuss further strengthening and diversifying bilateral relations in which economic And development cooperation, hydropower cooperation, regional affairs and other mutual issues will also be emphasized.
