GoAir today launched a new sale offer with the tagline saying 'Fly Smart, Save Big'. Under this, GoAir is offering tickets starting at the lowest rate of Rs 999. GoAir announced the offer after airlines like Jet Airways NSE 0.11 % and Indigo NSE -5.34 % provided back-to-back winter offers. 

The lowest fare of Rs 999 is for Bagdogra origin. Other destinations included in the sales are – Jammu, Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Patna, Pune, Kochi, and Ahmadabad. 

On its website. GoAir said, "In 2018, it's now or never! Best time of the year to book tickets and get going for a smart vacation! Grab lowest fares, starting at Rs. 999." 

The offer can be been seen as a bid to encourage travel during the festive months of December and January. These tickets can be booked for the travel period between December 19, 2018, till January 04, 2019.
