The Delhi High Court has sought response from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Jet Airways, Civil Aviation Ministry on the petition related to returning the money to the passengers connected to Jet Airways ticket booking. The court has asked everyone to file their reply in this matter before the next hearing. This petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court to provide relief to Jet Airways passengers who had received tickets in Advance. The court will hear the matter again on July 16 in this case.

It has been said in this petition that the people who booked Jet Airways for several months in advance, their money was also sinking. Now, traveling to another airline, he has to book a ticket from the other airlines at a very costly price. People are not only forced to bear the loss of their money but also have to face mental torture.

Nearly 100 flights were rejected from the jet without any prior notice. People have been forced to buy expensive tickets, because someone has to make a family trip to work due to the work of their office.

However, in the previous hearing, the Delhi High Court commented on the matter that the court felt that this petition was filed for publicity. The court had asked the petitioner on the previous hearing to explain why the content of PIL was published in the newspapers before coming to the hearing. After that, the court had given date of May 1 for hearing.

This application has been filed by Consumer activist Bijon Misra. Earlier in the Delhi High Court a petition was filed on behalf of Misra in which the court was asked to make guidelines for the control of fares in the airlines. The petition said that airlines are selling their tickets at arbitrary prices. Because of which the common people have to be forced to buy tickets at huge prices.
