World Cup-winning all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who had declared retirement from worldwide cricket in June, will highlight for Toronto Nationals in the Global T20 Canada, which will be held between July 25 and August 11 in Brampton.

Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is good to go to play for Toronto Nationals in the second release of six-group Global T20 Canada to be held in Brampton from July 15. The World Cup-winning every single rounder was picked by Toronto Nationals as its marquee the player in Thursday's player draft.

Yuvraj had declared retirement in June in an offer to carry out his specialty in establishment based T20 alliances over the globe. Remarkably, the all-rounder had kept in touch with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) looking for authorization to play in abroad T20 competitions.

"He kept in touch with the board yesterday. I don't see an issue in him getting approval to play in abroad associations since he has resigned from worldwide cricket and IPL," a BCCI source had told the PTI.

Yuvraj had said that he needed to play some "fun cricket" sooner rather than later when he reported his retirement. "I need to play T20 cricket. At this age, I can figure out how to play some sort of fun cricket. I need to proceed to make an amazing most."

Yuvraj will be joined by some huge names from world cricket, including New Zealand captain Kane Williamson, Andre Russell, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Shakib Al Hasan, Sunil Narine, Faf du Plessis among others.

Yuvraj will share the changing an area with India pacer Manpreet Gony, Brendon McCullum and Kieron Pollard at Toronto Nationals.
