Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have congratulated all the people of Ramadan, starting on Saturday.  The Chief Minister said that during the holy days of Ramadan, noble acts like Roza, service to humanity, God-shutdown, promote patience, self-discipline, tolerance, simplicity etc.  This also strengthens the feeling of mutual love and brotherhood.

Governor Anandiben Patel said in his message that the month of Ramadan gives us a message of prayer, restraint, mutual love and harmony as well as help of the poor and needy.  The Governor has appealed to the people to pray in the homes of Corona infection by staying in their homes.  He said that those who get out of the house for necessary work, cover their faces with masks or clothes and also take full care of their physical distance.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is an example of harmony, brotherhood and cultural unity.  Keeping this heritage and tradition intact, the Muslim brothers should do religious work by staying in the houses in view of the Corona transition.  He said that it should be ensured that there is no crowd.

Earlier in the day, Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi had spoken to the Waqf Board officials across the country and directed them to strictly follow the lockdown.  After this, the Chief Executive Officer of Sunni Waqf Board SM Shoaib on Friday instructed all Mutawallis and management committees not to congregate during Namaz at any place.  Strict action will be taken against those who do not follow orders.  A similar order has also been issued by the Shia Waqf Board.
