On the day of Diwali, businessmen perform Chopra Puja in which the accounting book is worshiped before the Muhurat session begins. Yesterday the Sensex opened 336.14 points above the 43779.14 level on the occasion of Muhurat trading on Diwali. The Nifty started with a gain of 102.10 points at 12822.05. The Sensex gained 195 points and closed at a record high of 43,638. On the other hand, the Nifty gained 51 points to close at the 12771 levels.
Market closed on Green Mark on Friday
The stock market returned bright on Friday and it closed at the edge. The Sensex closed up 85.81 points at 43443, up 0.20%. The Nifty closed at the level of 12719.15 with a gain of 0.23% (29.15 points).
Top Gainers and Top Losers in Muhurat Trading
Yesterday i.e. on Muhurat trading 22 stocks of the Sensex 30 has been rising. Top gainers include Airtel, Tata Steel, Sun Pharma, ITC, Infosys, HDFC Bank, L&T, ONGC and NTPC. If we talk about the top losers, then, Topavargrid, Titan Company, Ultratech Cement, Bajaj Auto and Bajaj Finance are included. All major 11 indices on the Nifty have closed in the green mark. The IT and realty index also gained momentum. Banks, financial, auto, FMCG, metal and pharma indices also closed in the green mark.

It started with two major trading communities, Gujaratis and Marwaris. Then from 1992 came the NSE. After this both BSE and NSE trade for one hour on the evening of Diwali.
