WTC Final: Twitter Hits Back after Michael Vaughan Takes Jibe at Team India

After the first session of the World Test Championship (WTC) final match between India and New Zealand was washed out due to rain, Vaughan has made sure to tease the Indian fans on Twitter.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan is often known for his sarcastic tweets. After the first session of the World Test Championship (WTC) final match between India and New Zealand was washed out due to rain, Vaughan has made sure to tease the Indian fans on Twitter. "I see India have been saved by the weather …. #WorldTestChampionship," he tweeted. As expected, the tweet went viral soon and he immediately faced the ire of Indian fans. Earlier, Vaughan had predicted that Australia would beat India 4-0 in the Test series but was trolled after India won it 2-1. He has also had his fair share of Twitter banters with former India opener Wasim Jaffer too.

Meanwhile, Vaughan's tweet, who had wrongly predicted India's defeat, went viral among the fans in no time. There was a strong reaction from the fans on this. Meanwhile, a fan even lashed out at Vaughan and wrote, "It's a shame for ur team that final is played in ENGLAND and England team will be watching it on tv .icc would have atleast given them tickets so that they cheer for INDIA from stands."
