WTC 2021 Final: The chances of the WTC final being played between India and New Zealand are now more likely to be drawn. Gavaskar has demanded from the ICC that it should take the example of other sports and decide the formula of champions.

IND Vs NZ WTC 2021 Final: The final match of the ICC World Test Championship is being played between India and New Zealand in Southampton. Most of the time of this match has been wasted due to rain and the chances of a draw are more visible than anyone team becoming the winner. Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar says that if the final match is a draw, then the ICC should make some formula to choose the winner.

In the WTC final played between the two teams, the first and fourth days were completely rained down. The match of the remaining three days has also been affected due to rain. However, the ICC had kept a reserve day for the WTC final which is to be used on Wednesday. The ICC has already announced that the trophy will be shared between the two teams if the match is drawn or canceled. Gavaskar said, "A formula should be made to choose the winner on the basis of a draw in the WTC final match. The ICC Cricket Committee should consider this and make a decision."

Champion should be chosen like this

Gavaskar further said, "It looks like the final match will end in a draw and the trophy will be shared. This will be the first time that the trophy will be shared in the final. It is difficult to have two innings on the last day. Yes, if both Teams perform very poorly in batting, the result of the match can be out."

Gavaskar has advocated deciding the champion on the lines of other sports. Gavaskar said, "In football, there are penalty shootouts or other ways to choose the winner. In tennis, there are five sets or tie breakers." Let us tell that till the end of the fifth day's play, Team India has scored 64 runs for the loss of two wickets. India has a total lead of 32 runs in the second innings.
