Reshma, a relative of dead Govinda, alleged that police had beaten Govinda in the police station due to which he died. The relative of the deceased, Reshma also alleged that she had given money in exchange for the release of Govinda.
Reshma said that if Govind was ill, then why did not the police inform us about it, Govind was assaulted and murdered by the police.
This is not the first case, even before the accused was killed in police custody. A young man was killed in police custody on June 5 in the police station in Delhi Cantt. The family had accused the police of negligence. According to the police, during the interrogation, the criminal youth had died due to the attack.
