There is a continuation of political violence in West Bengal. Because of which a Trinamool Congress worker was killed while one BJP worker was injured. The police have registered a case. A man has been arrested in this case.
An official at the Arambagh police station said that the Trinamool worker Sheikh Mafizul was killed in Hooghly district on Saturday. A man named Parth Hajari has been arrested for the murder. The police are now investigating the case.
In another case, a BJP worker was beaten with bamboo in East Midnapore. An officer of the Herriya police station said that the 33-year-old Viriguram Mandal was badly injured, but no formal complaint has been received by the police in this case.
The police officer denied having any political connection to this matter. The reports have also received of subversion and bombing in Baganan of Hooghly and Chandrakona areas of western Midnapore.
