In Cooch Behar, West Bengal, two people were beaten to death on suspicion of animal theft. This incident is from Thursday According to the information, the name of the deceased person is being told as Bablu and Prakash Das. Both belonged to Mathabhanga in Cooch Behar district. After the incident, the police took action and detained 12 people involved in the mob. The incident is being investigated.

The police has arrested 14 people for their involvement in the case. According to the police, Rabiul Islam and Prakash Das were carrying 2 cows from a van when the mob stopped them in Mathabangla area on Thursday, and after interrogation beat them both mercilessly, leading to their death.

Police said that the mob stopped the van in Mathabangla area and when they saw cows in it, they started accusing Rabiul and Prakash of theft. People claimed that these cows were stolen from the area a few days ago and were being taken for animal trafficking. The crowd asked the two from where they had come and during this time they beat both of them and set the van on fire. Police said that he was admitted to the hospital where he died.
