Two Arrested Including Editor of Parvatrajan News Portal for Demanding Extortion

Sahaspur police station in Dehradun arrested Shivprasad Semwal, editor of Parvatjan News Portal, on Friday for demanding extortion. Police will present Semwal in court on Saturday. Several cases against Semwal have been reported for consideration.

Neeraj Rajput, a resident of Laxmipur, Chorkhala in Sahaspur police station area, had filed a case against Amit Pal (Tybo) and Shivjan Prasad Semwal, the editor of Parvatjan News Portal, in October on charges of blackmailing and cheating. Neeraj said that in the year 2015-16, he was a director in the Backward Welfare Classes Welfare Council.

At that time Amit Pal came in contact with him. Later, he came to know that Amit has made money in the name of getting job etc. from many people under the name of his name. He called the victims and asked Amit to return his money. With this, Amit Pal started keeping his blood with him.

Neeraj Rajput said that in the panchayat elections, sister-in-law Rupa Devi was a candidate from Laxmipur seat, while on August 28, a campaign was done by Amit on a Facebook ID and WhatsApp, as part of a conspiracy to defame her and the family. On the same day, a tahrir was given against Amit at Sahaspur police station. On 31 August, in the presence of the police station, Amit Pal said to do all this in a rage. There was a reconciliation when he apologized. Meanwhile, Amit Pal told Neeraj's friend Himanshu that many people are owed him money.

If they give him 2.5 lakh rupees then he will delete all these videos. A check of 1.30 lakh was given to Amit through Himanshu to avoid misinformation in the election. But this is not what Amit stopped. On October 9, he held a press conference at Dehradun Press Club to damage the election and made unwarranted allegations.
