Trinamool leader Sheikh Asadul Rehman (55) is shot dead in Baganan, Howrah in West Bengal. Local people saw Asadul's dead body stained in the blood on the roadside at five o'clock on Tuesday morning. Police was informed. Police reached the spot and took the body and sent it for postmortem. Sheikh Asadul Rehman has been the former president of Trinamool Congress in Bainan region, usually located in Bagnan assembly center. The said incident took place in the Bainan area of ​​Bagnan on Monday night.

According to information received from police sources, Asadul got a call from somewhere on Monday night. After this, he took a bicycle and left the house. The family members were worried about not returning home at night. At five o'clock on Tuesday morning, passers-by saw the body of Asadul stained in blood on the roadside in the said area. As per information, Asadul was shot from the front. People immediately reported this to the police. The family alleges that Asadul has been killed.

Tapas Hazra, the head of the Bainan Grampanchayat, has also accused Assadul of killing him. However, one side also says that the said area remains deserted. Also, there is a mobilization of anti-social elements. It is believed that he was killed by miscreants in an attempt to snatch Asadul.
