In Unnao rape case, Tis Hazari court of Delhi has convicted MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. The court acquitted the co-accused woman, Shashi Singh. Shashi Singh took the victim to Kuldeep Sengar on the pretext of getting a job, after which Sanger raped the victim. The debate on the sentence will be held on 19 December.

Tis Hazari court also reprimanded the investigating agency CBI. The court said that in order to save the life of the victim, the case was registered late. The rest is still being heard in the same court, in which the victim's father died in custody, two women killed by his family in a road accident, and the alleged false cases against the victim and the gangrape and her uncle. In June 2017, the victim was abducted and raped by Kuldeep Singh Sengar. During this time she was a minor. Sengar, a four-time MLA from Bangarmau in UP, was expelled from the BJP in August 2019.
