In Unnao rape case, Tis Hazari court of Delhi has convicted MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar. The court acquitted the co-accused woman, Shashi Singh. Shashi Singh took the victim to Kuldeep Sengar on the pretext of getting a job, after which Sanger raped the victim. The debate on the sentence will be held on 19 December.

In June 2017, the victim was abducted and raped by Kuldeep Singh Sengar. During this time she was a minor. Sengar, a four-time MLA from Bangarmau in UP, was expelled from the BJP in August 2019.
