Teacher in Gurugram Accused of Mercilessly Thrashing 13-Year-Old Boy

A case of allegations and counter-allegations between a 13-year-old boy and his mathematics teacher in Gurugram is now being investigated by police officials. The matter was brought to the attention of law enforcement personnel when the teacher allegedly thrashed the Class 9 student on Saturday.

In his complaint to the police, the boy claimed that the teacher thrashed him as many as 15 times in addition to smashing his head against a wall. The minor boy is currently being treated at the Civil Hospital while the Bajghera police are investigating the matter. Shockingly enough, the boy also claimed that the teacher, while referring to him, said that he would not let people from lower castes study in the school.

Responding to the allegations, the teacher claimed that the complainant has been harassing him for the last couple of months and the incident on Saturday was merely an outburst. He also said that he neither smashed the child's head on a wall nor used castiest or abusive slurs aimed at the boy. Meanwhile, the school's principal told media outlets that he is hopeful that the two parties will be able to reach a compromise real soon.

Station house officer (SHO), Bajghera police station, Deepak Kumar told that a first information report (FIR) will be registered in this regard once police conduct a preliminary investigation. He added that the boy's parents have already given a formal complaint seeking action against the teacher.
