A bus and a trailer collided on Wednesday in Bhandiyawas village on Jodhpur National Highway in the Barmer district of Rajasthan. The bus and the trailer caught fire after a head-on collision near Sanskar School. 8 people were burnt alive in the fire. The accident happened at 10.30 am.

Injured have been taken to the hospital in Balotra

Initially, 5 people died, but later the SP of the district confirmed 3 more deaths. A total of 23 people from both bus and trailer vehicles were injured in the accident. All have been taken to the hospital in Balotra. After the information, the fire brigade of Pachpadra, Balotra, and Refinery reached the spot. Three fire tenders doused the blaze in both the vehicles in half an hour.

A passenger traveling in the bus told that 20-25 passengers were sitting in the bus going from Balotra to Jodhpur. The trailer came from the wrong side and collided with the bus on the highway. Due to this, the bus caught fire immediately. 10-12 passengers from the bus have been taken out and taken to Balotra Hospital. The fire was so strong that the three fire tenders made two rounds each to douse the flames.

Chief Minister gave instructions to the police administration for relief and rescue

After the incident, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has directed the police and administration to be ready for relief rescue. After getting information about the incident, where Pachpadra Police Officer Pradeep Danga reached the spot, SP Deepak Bhargava and District Collector Lokbandhu are also present at the spot. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Minister-in-charge Sukhram Vishnoi, Pachpadra MLA Madan Prajapat have also reached the spot.
