Congress leader P Chidambaram name is not taking the end. In the INX money laundering case, the special court of Delhi has extended his judicial custody till December 11. On the ED's demand to extend Chidambaram's judicial custody for 14 days, Special Court Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar ruled that the investigation was on.

Today, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi had reached to meet Chidambaram in Tihar Jail. Earlier, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh have also met him. Ever since his arrest, the Congress has been continuously defending him and accusing the investigating agencies of acting with malice.

ED arrested on 16 October

The CBI arrested Chidambaram on August 21 in the INX Media corruption case and the Supreme Court granted him bail on October 22 in the case. He was arrested by the ED on October 16 in a money laundering case and since then he is in judicial custody.

The CBI registered a case on 15 May 2017 alleging irregularities in granting FIPB approval to INX Media Group to receive foreign funds of Rs 305 crore in 2007. Chidambaram was the Finance Minister during this period. After this, ED had also filed a money laundering case in 2017 in the same case.
