Massive Fire Broke out at a Textile Godown in Delhi’s Harkesh Nagar

A fire broke out in a clothing warehouse in Harkesh Nagar of Okhla Phase 2 in Delhi at around 3.45 am. The fire was so severe that it started spreading to the surrounding areas as well

A fire broke out in a clothing warehouse in Harkesh Nagar of Okhla Phase 2 in Delhi at around 3.45 am. The fire was so severe that it started spreading to the surrounding areas as well. 18 vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot to control the fire. No one has been reported to be injured due to this fire, but the fire has completely damaged the textile warehouse.

According to preliminary information, there is a fire in the cotton godown of Okhla Phase 2. The fire reached the basement and first floor and spread. It is not yet known what caused the fire. 18 vehicles of the fire brigade are engaged in dousing the fire.

18 vehicles of the Fire Service Department reached to control the situation

In this regard, Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said that at 3.51 am, we got a call in which it was told that a fire has broken out in Sanjay Colony of Okhla Phase-2. However, 18 vehicles of the department reached the spot immediately to control the situation. Also, efforts are on to control the fire, so far it is not known how the fire started.

Another fire incident in Delhi 

Earlier also on 3 October, there was a fire in Delhi. A guesthouse in Delhi's Shakarpur area came under fire in which three people were reported to have suffered minor burns. However, the fire broke out in the electric meter, after which it spread to the reception, lobby, and other parts of the guesthouse. The fire was brought under control around 7 am.
