Russian President Vladimir Putin has re-entered the list of 10 most admired men in the world after a year. In the 2020 survey, Putin was ranked 12th with 3.3 points. This time he is at number 9 with 3.4 points. Putin, who is 69 years old, has climbed two places to overtake Alibaba Group founder Jack Ma.
In this year's study, 42,000 people from 38 countries were surveyed. Respondents were asked to name a public figure they admire and then select the most admired personality from a list of options. The results for each country were also given weights to represent the size of the country's population.
