UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged world leaders to use the year 2022 as a springboard for reform. On Monday, he stated that the COVID-19 pandemic should be dealt with equally and fairly. He warned that as long as we do not vaccinate every person in the world, new corona varieties would keep emerging. People's lives and the economy will continue to be stalled as a result of these versions.
Guterres made the remarks while speaking electronically at the opening session of the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in 2022. In the last two years, he has illustrated a simple but painful truth: if we leave someone behind, we leave everyone behind. He stated that we have urged us to work together to combat the pandemic and make 2022 a true reform year.

The United Nations Secretary-General raged that immunization rates in high-income countries were seven times higher than in low-income countries. He stated emphatically that if we do not vaccinate every single individual, new varieties would continue to emerge, disrupting people's daily lives and economies.
He claims that the most recent Corona variant, Omicron, is quietly spreading over the world, increasing infection rates. This puts a greater strain on the countries' healthcare systems. He was also concerned that we had fallen short of the World Health Organization's goal of vaccinating 40% of the world's population by the end of last year and 70% by the middle of this year.
