French government spokesman Olivier Veran said that all women will get contraceptives for free.
With this, women can take contraceptive medicines without a doctor's prescription. Women have also started taking advantage of this service.
This step has been taken at a time when health officials have estimated that STDs i.e. sexually transmitted diseases have increased by 30 per cent in France between 2020 and 2021.
