New Delhi: Disappointed with the delay in execution of Nirbhaya's culprits, a social activist Yogita sat on a dharna near Gate number 7 of Delhi HC. Yogita says that the people of the country have been waiting to be hanged for the last 7 years. After all, Nirbhaya's culprits will be hanged, after 7 years, when the court has also issued the death warrant, now the date is being met. Due to this, people are now patiently responding.

She said that the culprits were not hanged even after fixing the date of hanging twice. The country's misfortune is that an attempt is being made to save even such a heinous criminal. The Central Government's application against the delay in hanging was heard in the Delhi High Court on Sunday. Let us know that the Delhi High Court on Sunday reserved the verdict on the Centre's plea in which it has challenged the stay of the execution of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case. Justice Suresh Kait said that the court will pass the order after all the parties have completed their arguments. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the High Court that there were well-planned moves to delay the execution of the sentence under the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case.

A special hearing was held in the Delhi High Court on Sunday on the Central Government's application against the order of the Patiala House Court to postpone the hanging of Nirbhaya convicts. On behalf of the government, the court said that it is not necessary to punish all the culprits. There is no need to wait for all the options for legal relief to end. The culprits can also be hanged separately. On behalf of the Central Government, the Solicitor General (SG), Tushar Mehta, while appearing for the Government said that it is clear from the attitude of the culprits that they are misusing the law. This hurt Yogita and she went on dharna. She said that the court should hang the culprits at the earliest. However, where she sat on the dharna, the police reached the spot andsent her back by making her understand the laws and rules. But there are no two opinions that Nirbhaya's convicts are taking the test of the country's patience.
