In the midst of increasing infection from the coronavirus, road accidents are also increasing.  In the midst of the lockdown, all the arrangements for the migrant workers  of the governments to reach their homes, people are walking towards the houses.

A trolley filled with similar people was hit by a DCM truck from behind in Auraiya on Saturday, killing 24 people and injuring 25 people.  Those who have been sent to hospitals.  20 seriously injured laborers have been admitted to Saifai Medical College.  While the other injured is admitted to the district hospital.  CMO Auraiya has confirmed the deaths of 24 people.  Commissioner, IG has also reached the spot.  A team of the Health Department along with the administrative officer and staff is also present on the spot.  Police and health personnel are involved in relief and rescue operations.  DM Abhishek Singh told that the injured have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.  The seriously injured have been admitted to Saifai Medical College, where the condition of 15 injured remains critical.

A high speed DCM hit a container parked outside a dhaba on the National Highway on Saturday at Chihuly in Kotwali area in Auraiya.  Both the container and the DCM fell into the ravine after the collision.  24 laborers on board died in it.  Around four o'clock on Saturday morning, the container going to Gorakhpur with workers stopped outside a dhaba.  The workers had boarded the container from Delhi and Faridabad and were going to Gorakhpur.  The driver went to drink tea and the workers were sleeping.  Meanwhile, the high speed DCM hit the container.  Due to which the container fell into the ravine and DCM also overturned in the ravine.  The people of the dhaba ran away and Screamed.  The police reached the spot and relief work started at five o'clock.
