A middle-aged couple had a narrow escape when the Tata Indigo ECS car in which they were travelling lost control at a turn and overturned after hitting roadside divider before finally ramming into the boundary wall on Sunday morning. The accident occurred on the VIP road under Koh-e-Fiza police station. Their car was damaged but they escaped with injuries.
Mohammad Ali and his wife in their late forties were travelling from Retghat and were heading towards Lalghati Chouraha after getting his wife checked at a local Doctor in Habibganj area. Mohammad Ali is a resident of C-Block in Regalia Heights area of Koh-e-Fiza.
They were travelling in an Indigo car bearing registration number MH-05-BJ-2338 when near Marigold marriage garden, Ali who was driving the car lost control over steering and it overturned due to high speed.
The Dial 100 police reached the spot and rushed the couple to nearby Hamidia hospital, from where the couple was discharged after being administered the first aid. The driver of the car Ali told FRV cops that he was making a turn on left side as another four-wheeler passed suddenly from his side and somehow he lost the control of the car and accidentally pressed up on the accelerator after which the car went on to hit the roadside boundary wall with a bang before overturning. No case was registered at Koh-e-Fiza police station till filing of this report.
