In Maharashtra, there was a big accident in Pune on Thursday. At least four people died due to suffocation in a fire at a famous Sari shop. This incident happened late last night. At that time some of the staff were sleeping in the above room of the store.

According to an official of Pune Police, this incident happened in the Devachi Urli, situated in the outskirts of the city. The news of the fire in the sari shop was got at five o'clock in the morning. The staff of the shop was sleeping in the upper room at the shop.

The fire spread rapidly to the upper rooms of the shop and the employee who was sleeping there was came in the grip. Where the four employees died on the spot due to suffocation.

As soon as the information was received, the police and fire brigade's vehicles reached the spot and controlled the fire. According to PTI, a police officer present on the spot said that due to the increase in the number of dead, they are trying to ascertain whether more employees and the staff were asleep there or not.

Police officials said that five fire engines of firefighters have come to the spot to quench the fire and the firefighters tried to quench the fire till late. Then the fire could be overcome.
