Winning Test Championship is Bigger than Winning T20, ODI World cup: Cheteshwar Pujara

Team India's Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara said that if Team India wins the final of the World Test Championship at Lord's and become the Test Champions, then I think it is bigger than the ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup as Test cricket is the biggest format. Team India has not won any ICC tournament so far. In Champions trophy 2017 and World cup 2019, India missed out on winning the title.

Pujara further said, 'Every great player in the world calls this format the most difficult, if we become champions in it, then it will be great for us. You win when the teams play at home in the Test Championship, but the difficult times begin when you go on a foreign tour. The Indian team has performed well abroad. Now we have started winning the series abroad as well.' The Test Championship is highly competitive as teams will have to play well for two consecutive years to win it.

Team India is in first place in the ICC World Test Championship. India has played seven matches so far and has won all. The Indian team has 360 points. The Australian team is at second with seven wins in 10 matches, two defeats, and a draw. At the same time, England's team is at number three after winning five out of nine Tests. If Team India performs like this, then they can reach the final of the Test Championship. However, it is not so easy because the real test of the Indian team will now begin with the tour of New Zealand, where it has to play a two-Test series. The Indian team has won only two Test series in New Zealand till date. India won the Test series in New Zealand in 1968 and 2009. The last time the Indian team lost the series 0–1.
