The West Indies Cricket Board has unveiled its brand new jersey ahead of their three-match T20 series against New Zealand. The Caribbean team will play in New Jersey for the first time in the upcoming three-match series against New Zealand. The players will wear this New Jersey in all the T20I matches leading up to the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021 in India and be the same for the women’s team too.
West Indies won T20 World Cup twice:
Let us tell you that the West Indies team has won the Men’s T20 World Cup twice. In 2012, the West Indies won the T20 World Cup title in Sri Lanka and then in 2016 under the captaincy of Darren Sammy in India. Let us know that till now Caribbean players used to use maroon color jersey more, but now it has changed a bit.

An official statement from the West Indies Cricket Board state, “We’re really excited for the new T20I shirt to debut with the West Indies Men’s team in New Zealand. We know that the fans will love the bold design and rally behind the #MenInMaroon for this series and throughout 2021.” West Indies and New Zealand will play a series of three T20 matches against each other. The first match will be played on 27 November.
New Zealand team will wear traditional black jersey in T20 World Cup:
On the other hand, the host Kiwi team will be seen in its traditional colors. The New Zealand team wears a black jersey in T20 cricket, but the color of the T20 jersey of the New Zealand women’s team is slightly different.
