General Malik said at an event on Make in India that India was in dire need of arms and ammunition during the Kargil War, but these countries gave inferior material in the name of help.

Even after 20 years of the Kargil war, a series of new facts related to it are continuing. The former Chief General of the Indian Army, General (Retd) VP Malik claimed that India had to procure arms and ammunition from abroad at the time of Kargil war but these countries helped and charged money at a much higher rate than the market rate and gave three year old satellite pictures to India.

When we asked for some cannons from a country, he promised to give it initially but he later repaired the old cannons and gave it to India.
