Virat Kohli Leads RCB in 100 Match and Achieve the Feat

Captain Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bangalore on Tuesday became the third player to take over the team which played 100 or more matches in the Indian Premier League. Kohli, who is leading Royal Challengers Bangalore since 2011, was so disappointed with the performance in IPL 2019.

Another day, another disappointment for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) with their continuous loses in the 12th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB played four matches and found themselves at the bottom of the league's points table with the lowest score

After captain Kohli got dismissed by a magnificent Shreyas Gopal who ended up with a three-wicket-haul), the second opener, Parthiv Patel put the burden on his shoulders to help his side reach a respectable total of 158. Patel's contributed 67 runs off 41 balls which also included 9 boundaries and a maximum.

There are two other captains Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir who have captained more than 100 matches in the IPL. Dhoni captained 162 matches in IPL. Out of 148, he has been the captain of Chennai Super Kings. In the rest of the matches, he took over the rejuvenation of Super Superior Giants. Dhoni has won 92 matches for Chennai. Talking about the overall record, Dhoni has won a total of 97 matches and Dhoni's captaincy for any team is the best.

Former India opener Gambhir captained 129 matches. Of which he won in 71. Captain, who has won Kolkata's twice the title of Indian Premier League, captained KKR in 108 matches, out of which 61 he won.

Kohli won 44 out of the 99 matches and face defeat in 50 matches. Two matches are tie-up and no result has come out of three. Kohli's victory percentage is 46.87 (up to 99 matches). He is the second player to score more than 5000 runs in the IPL. He has scored four hundred in the IPL.

Tuesday's match against Rajasthan got Virat Kohli an incredible feat to boast about as it provided him with the opportunity to captain an IPL squad for the 100th time and make him only the third cricketer in the world to do so.

Ironically, such records that should normally bring a sense of pride to any athlete, but also brings immense shame to RCB skipper as Kohli has the worst record amongst the men who have reached such a status.
