Vijay Mallya said in London Court, “I am Dependent on My Child and Assistants”

Vijay Mallya, a fugitive businessman, who has now gone bankrupt, and lives on the comforts of luxury and he is dependent on his wife/partner, personal assistant, acquaintances, and his children for livelihood. In a London court on Wednesday, he said that he does not have the money to run his own expenses and his wife, private secretary, businessman and his adult children are running his expenditure.

In the last September, Indian banks had filed petitions in the London High Court against Vijay Mallya, who had escaped Rs 11000 crore from 13 Indian banks. During the hearing on this petition, Vijay Mallya talked about his wife and children being exposed by him. During the hearing, Mallya's lawyer told the court that Mallya's wife Pinky Lalwani has an annual income of about Rs 1.35 crore, and Vijay Mallya now has total assets worth Rs 2,956 crore, which is settled in the Karnataka High Court. Mallya has borrowed 75.7 lakh and 1.15 crore from his personal assistant Miss Mahal and acquainted businessman Mr. Bedi. He has borrowed this amount for repaying the debt and living. Nigel Toji is representing 13 banks from which Mallya has taken a loan of Rs 11,000 crore.
