Vidyut Jammwal Accused of Hitting a Juhu Resident

A court here on Monday vindicated Bollywood on-screen character Vidyut Jammwal and his companion in a 2007 assault case.

Metropolitan justice Pragati Yerlekar absolved Jammwal and his companion Rishant Goswami of the considerable number of charges leveled against them. Subtleties of the request are anticipated.

Jammwal and his companion were blamed for hitting one Rahul Suri, an occupant of Juhu zone, with a jug at a five-star lodging in rural Santacruz in August 2007.

Over the span of preliminary, the court inspected two observers, the cop who recorded the First Information Report (FIR) and someone else.

Jammwal's lawyer Aniket Nikam had contended under the steady gaze of the court that the on-screen character and his companion were blameless.

"They were never involved in the alleged incident. There was no satisfactory evidence to point out before the court the culpability of my clients," Nikam told PTI on Monday.

Jammwal has acted in movies like Commando, Force, Baadshaho and Junglee.
