The BJP and Shiv Sena held a joint press conference in Mumbai on Friday for the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2019. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray were also present. Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said on Friday that this is only the beginning for his son and that joining politics does not just mean becoming chief minister. He said that the first step in politics does not mean that you have to become the Chief Minister of the state.

On the occasion, CM Devendra Fadnavis said that Aditya Thackeray will win the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2019 with the most votes. CM Devendra Fadnavis said that we will have to stay in this alliance. We will win the election. According to Fadnavis, everyone has to compromise for seats in the coalition.

The issue of seats in BJP and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra has now been resolved. Allies are contesting this time in BJP 150, Shiv Sena 124 and 14 other seats. 29-year-old Aditya Thackeray had filed nomination for the Worli assembly seat from Shiv Sena on Thursday. His father and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, mother Rashmi Thackeray and brother Tejas Thackeray etc. were present on the occasion. For the first time, a member of the Thackeray family has entered the electoral fray. On the other hand, BJP's Chandrakant Patil, Congress's Vijay Vadettivar, NCP chief Sharad Pawar's grandchildren Rohit Pawar and Dhananjay Munde etc. also filed nomination papers. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, ministers Sudhir Mungantiwar and Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil filed nominations on Friday. Aditya had announced to contest assembly elections last week at a gathering in Worli himself. His father was not present then, but he was present at the time of nomination.
