Twitter CEO Jack Patrick Dorsey tweeted on Monday that the amount has been donated to three non-governmental organizations – Care, Ed India, and Seva International USA. Care has been given $ 10 million, while Ed India and Seva International USA have been given $ 2.5 million.
The San Francisco-based company said in a statement, "Seva International is a Hindu, faith-based, non-profit service organization. The donation is being funded to treat Covid patients. It is used as ventilators, beds and other life-saving devices." The statement also said that these devices will be distributed in government hospitals, Covid-19 care centers, and other hospitals.
Sandeep Khadkekar, vice president of Seva International, thanked the CEO of Twitter, Dorsey, saying, "It's a service and I'm glad you helped us come forward.
