Today’s Challenge is Easy for Shivraj to Pass Majority, Bye-Election within 6 Months is the Real Challenge

Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who held the fourth position in Madhya Pradesh's power, will easily prove the confidence vote in the assembly on Tuesday, but feeding the lotus in the state by-election within 6 months will be a big challenge. There are currently 25 assembly seats vacant in Madhya Pradesh and for Shivraj Singh to retain his power for that he must win at least 10 seats.

It should be noted that there are a total of 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh, out of which two seats are already vacant due to the demise of MLAs. Apart from this, 22 Congress MLAs and one BJP MLA, who supported Jyotiraditya Scindia, resigned. In this way, there are 25 vacant seats in Madhya Pradesh, on which elections are to be held within 6 months. In such a situation, it is now clear that there is a big challenge in front of the Shivraj government to make the lotus won in the by-elections on 25 seats.

The Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly currently has a total of 205 members. Of these, BJP has 106 and Congress has 92 MLAs. Apart from this, there are 4 independents, two BSP and one SP MLA. Shivraj Singh Chauhan currently has the support of four independent MLAs. Apart from this, SP and BSP MLAs can also join the BJP camp. In this way, Shivraj will prove a majority in the House, but to remain permanently in power, the BJP will have to provide a majority figure on its own.

However, the BJP will have to win at least 10 seats in the recent by-elections to get a majority on its own. Only after this the BJP's figure will reach 116. Most of the 25 seats vacant in the state are from Gwalior-Chambal. Jyotiraditya Scindia and Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar come from this area.

The Congress will insist that by winning as many seats as possible in the by-elections, it will get a clear majority and will again emerge as a big party. The Madhya Pradesh Congress tweeted only after the farewell of the government that Kamal Nath would take the flag salute on August 15. This is 'short rest'. This means that the battle for the by-elections will be a challenge for both the Congress and the BJP.
