The mid price range smartphone segment in India ruled by the China-based phones but recently some competition is given by Samsung to the China phones like to Xiaomi after introducing its budget-friendly the Galaxy phones, like has now refreshed the mid ranged "A" series with a new device–"A50".

Priced at Rs 19990, the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory variant have some interesting features.

With rounded corners, the device sports a shiny back body, which reflects the light in the rainbow pattern. The company did not specify that the material was plastic or polycarbonate,

The Samsung logo has been placed at the bottom of the 25MP + 5MP + 8MP vertical triple rear camera set-up and flash.

The camera app brings camera settings including panorama, pro, live focus, slow-mo, and hyper-lapse features as well as HDR, grid line and location tag.

Volume rockers are located right after the lock button.

The battery lasted approximately one day on heavy-to-medium usage. The bundled USB-Charger facilitated fast charging.

The in-display fingerprint sensor in "A50" is slow and repeatedly fails to identify the registered touch. The face recognition feature took over two to three seconds to unlock the device in daylight…

Conclusion: "A50" provides near-premium experience at a mid-range price point. Since users are accustomed to unlocking snap to one-touch or a glance, so adjusting back on the drawing pattern and pinching a little bit.
