In response to the allegations of the woman, CJI Gogoi had said: "It is incredible, there is great power behind it." An officer of Crime Branch had earlier told that the woman's husband and brother-in-law were facing departmental interrogation. The crime branch official had said that a joint investigation was ordered against both of them and they were suspended on December 28, 2018.
