According to the new guideline of the government, now green crackers can be burnt in Deepawali from 8 pm to 10 pm. On the other hand, green crackers will be allowed from 11.55 pm to 12.30 pm on Christmas and New Year, from 8 to 10 pm on Guru festival, and from 6 am to 8 am on Chhath festival.
Apart from this, the Home Ministry will issue separate guidelines for other festivals. At the same time, in the city where the air quality is poor or worse, there will be a ban on fireworks on that day. Artist's president Zahir Ahmed said that due to the ban, lakhs of people associated with this business had become unemployed. In such a situation, there was a constant demand from our government to allow the sale of green crackers. Because green crackers are made according to the guidelines of Neeri. They cause 70 percent less pollution than common firecrackers. The government accepted our demand.
Keeping in mind the guidelines of the Supreme Court and NGT, the Home Ministry has given permission to run green firecrackers, giving maximum exemption. The certificate of green firecrackers is done by CSIR-NEERI, a central government agency.
This certificate has been given to 12 firecracker producers in the state. These producers also have to get a license from PESO to make crackers. Nine producers in the state have licenses from PESO. The pollution from green crackers is less than other common firecrackers. While buying firecrackers, you have to see the green color logo and QR code of Neeri on the box of firecrackers. Green crackers can be identified by scanning the QR code.
