President’s Rule May Apply in Karnataka

The political crisis in Karnataka is currently underway. At present, no government is working there. After the floor test in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, the Kumaraswamyi government fell. Now the claim of making the government is to present the BJP. But in Karnataka the BJP is not seen in any hurry. Karnataka BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa was supposed to meet Governor Vajubhai Naqvi yesterday and was claiming to form the government, but suddenly the program of Yeddyurappa changed and he did not meet the governor.

At present, no decision has been taken on the resignation of 15 rebel MLAs in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Ramesh Kumar of the Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly has not taken any decision yet. So till 15 rebel legislators have no decision on the speaker Till then, Presidential rule may take place. According to Karnataka BJP Spokesperson Jee Madhusudan, "If the speaker takes more time to accept or reject the rebel legislators, then the governor (Vajubhai Vaala) can recommend President's rule in the state because we are in such a situation Will not like to claim power. '

Madhusudan said that the decisions of Speaker and Supreme Court will take time and if it takes more time, then the Governor can recommend President's rule and keep the Assembly suspended for it till we claim to be majority And there is no position to form a stable government. If resignations of rebel legislators are accepted or declared as disqualified. Under such circumstances, elections will be held in 6 months of Anjar in 15 assembly constituencies.

The case of resignation of rebel legislators is pending before the Speaker of the Assembly. On the other hand, the petition of Congress rebel legislators is pending in the Supreme Court. The BJP wants that the speaker and the Supreme Court stand first and then the matter should be carried forward only.

In the Karnataka, the Kumaraswamy government may have fallen, but there is still the decision of the fate of the rebel legislators still to be decided. Speaker Ramesh Kumar will hold a meeting on Thursday with his lawyers. It is being told that till Friday, Speaker can take any decision on 15 rebel MLAs. But at present, the clouds of President's rule are still in Karnataka.

In its order on July 17, the Supreme Court had said that the Speaker is free to take decision on the resignation of rebel legislators as per law. Although the Supreme Court had removed the rebel legislators from the proceedings of the Assembly. The three-member bench said that they could not be compelled to participate in the House when their resignation was pending before the Speaker on July 11, when they presented them again on the 10th of July order. If the Speaker takes more time to decide on the resignation of rebel legislators then the rebel MLA can knock him to the Supreme Court's intervention.
