On Saturday, the Home Ministry issued a notice to all government officials and employees in government offices and ministries regarding the use of fake identity cards. After several cases of security and fake identity cards, this ministry has taken this step.

According to the notice issued, the use of duplicate or fake identities is a security threat. According to the ministry, the security has arrested several government officials due to many such cases in the last few weeks.

Some people use scanned or duplicated and laminated identity cards to enter government buildings. Many such cards were also confiscated through CISF and SSF. The notice issued states that the use of such duplicate identity cards is a crime as it is a security threat. The Home Ministry has warned that action will be taken if caught under such a crime. Such incidents are increasing. After which the Ministry has directed all the concerned Ministries, Departments and Resident Commissioners of the Government to inform their officers and staff about the issue.
