There has been a tussle in Punjab over the CM face of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Due to the delay of the party, the patience of the leaders has started breaking. MLA Rupinder Ruby said that the party should declare the name of Bhagwant Mann. Apart from him, there is no other leader above in Punjab. After this only Arvind Kejriwal remains. He said that lest the party suffer due to delay in an announcement.
Ruby also revealed that Bhagwant Mann was called to Delhi 3 times. Despite this, there was no positive response. Because of this, he calmed down and sat at home. Volunteers in Punjab are continuously demanding the announcement of the name of Bhagwant Mann. The party leadership should take this seriously so that the hearts of the volunteers are not broken. Praising Bhagwant Mann, Ruby said that he has worked hard. Have held rallies and street meetings all over Punjab.
Claiming on CM's face is not the selfishness of Bhagwant Mann but the right. They deserve it. He said that he does not understand why it is getting delayed. Now that Navjot Sidhu has also become the President of Punjab Congress, then there is little hope of his coming. Apart from this, the party has also ended talks about the rest of the faces.
Arvind Kejriwal has already said that the CM face of the party in Punjab will be from the Sikh community, but he is not announcing the name. Kejriwal has done 2 tours in Punjab. Every time he postpones saying that he will announce it soon.
The Aam Aadmi Party had a good chance in the 2017 Punjab Civil Elections. However, he could not give any CM face. Then the opposition parties raised the issue that if AAP registers victory, then an outsider can become the CM of Punjab. Because of this, the party lost. After which this time the leaders of AAP are insisting that the face should be declared soon.
