British automobile company MG Motor, which has strengthened its roots in the Indian auto market, has introduced the new MG Astor SUV. It is also the first AI-enabled car in India. The company has not disclosed about the launch of this car equipped with great features. However, from next week it will be available at dealerships. At the same time, its booking will start from September 19.
MG has equipped this car with many advanced technology and features. There is a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system on its dashboard, which will get Jio e-SIM connected facility. This feature will answer all the questions by following the user's voice commands as an AI-based personal assistant. This car supports features like Head Turner, Wikipedia, Jokes, News, Emoji, Chit-chat, Fesville Gift, Navigation, Music, Select in Car Controls, Critical in Car Warning, Nose Hinglish. It will get more than 80 internet features.
Astor will get 27 great features related to safety. It includes safety features like Lane Change Assist with 6 Airbags, Intelligent Headlamp Control, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Speed Assist System, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning. The car will also get the Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) feature. This feature has been seen in big SUVs like MG Gloster, Mahindra XUV700. That is, it will also be the first car with this feature in the midsize SUV segment.
This SUV has been offered in two petrol engine options. It is powered by the first 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 110hp of power and 144Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-step CVT automatic gearbox with a manual gearbox. The second option in this is the 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine. It generates 140hp power and 220Nm torque. It will be available only in the 6-speed automatic gearbox option.
This mid-size SUV has three steering modes. According to the company's claim, it will get 90% coverage panoramic sky roof. Armrests are provided for front and rear passengers, which make the journey comfortable. The length of the vehicle is 4323 mm, height is 1650 mm and width is 1809 mm. It is offered in 3 interior colors such as Dual Tone Sangria Red, Dual Tone Iconic Ivory, and Tuxedo Black.
